Fix for a burnt tongue?

I was having a bad throat so I had a really hot soup this monday. It burnt my tongue badly. After that I applied my brains to put salt on top of it thinking that it'll help. Dunno if it helped or not but now am having very small red dots on my tongue (I think these are small mouth ulcers). Having too much difficulty in eating/drinking/speaking. Will appreciate any advise/help

1. suck on a ice-cube 4 a while

2. smoothies or slushies (i wud do smoothies cuz they help more than slurpies

3. get apple juice freeze it so it turnes to ice and suck on it
