When you have braces is it common for gums to sag?!

Question: Mine aren't as tight as they used to be. I've had braces for about 2 and a half years now, and I'm getting them off soon. I'm afraid my teeth will look weird!

I'm not sure by the word you are using if I am thinking of the same thing you are.. but when I had braces (and hwen my friends had braces) the gums sort of crept over the teeth. My friend said her orthodontist told her to massage the gum to help it (but it probably doesn't erally help enough to be worth doing it) then when you get them off then they go back to normal.

This will only be helpful for you if I am thinking of the same thing you are.. otherwise im not sure about sagging

saggy gums? never heard of it and your teeth will look heaps good i got my braces off 2 weeks ago and i'm quite happy with the results, be excited! :)

well if your teeth were very crooked i assume they moved an awful lot, so most likely they wont be as tight, but they should look fine. Also when you have braces it is very hard to floss, so they may actually be slightly swollen and will go back to normal after a few weeks of having them off
