Tooth problem!!!!?!
Question: i got a cap put on my tooth about a year ago and it is falling off.i have another tooth growing in underneth of it too.my dentist cant tell me anything eather. any advice at all?

when i was seven years old i had 4 caps on my teeth they were all suppose to fall out and new teeth were suppose 2 come in but only 3 fell out and the one left in is now part of my grill unless its hanging off the other tooth coming in leave it if its hanging off the new tooth coming in get the cap pulled off
Try a different dentist.

i don't believe that another tooth is growing underneath a cap. everybody has two sets of teeth: baby teeth and adult teeth. the last baby tooth is lost around age 12.
if you're young, dentists put a cap on baby teeth which are large cavities, but are still valuable to maintain space and guide the adult teeth underneath.
if you're an adult, it's probably an adult tooth that didn't erupt into the mouth. i'd suggest going to a different dentist to get a second opinion and to ensure it's not something more serious.
