My daughter is gritting her teeth, what can i do to help her stop?!

Question:

My daughter is gritting her teeth, what can i do to help her stop?

Answers:

Answer depends on how old your daughter is.

If your daughter is less than 12 years old, it is normal for her to grind her teeth. Most of the kids in that age , specially around 3 - 8 years, grind their teeth. It is normal. If they do not grind then it is abnormal.... !By the time they have permanent teeth they will outgrow this habbit.

However if your daughter is more than 15 years old and still grinds her teeth then, she will need to see prosthodontist for T.M.J. evaluation and treatment as necessary, which could include multiple caps and/or night guard.
