What can I do to eliminate foul odor after wisdom teeth removal? What's the !

Question: Almost 3 weeks ago I had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed surgically. About a week later, I was still in horrible pain, so I called and made an appointment. I was told I had dry socket. The doctor gave me several shots of Novocaine in the jaw on the left side. He then removed the stitches, rinsed out the socket and put in a dressing that was obviously soaked in clove oil. He also prescribed more pain pills (Lortab) for the pain and some Lidocaine Viscous liquid to help numb the site. I was feeling better than I had in weeks, up until I went back in at the end of the week to have the dressing changed (by a different doctor than the first time). After it was changed, my dry socket symptoms returned and there is now a foul odor and taste coming from the bottom socket on the opposite side. It seems to be healed though. When I stick my finger on it and smell it, it makes me gag. I brush and rinse with salt water everyday and it still doesn't help. What can I do? It looks to be healed.

u can carefully use normal saline by a syringe to wash the food impacted in the socket .. this will help until the gingiva heal above the area of extraction...

but don't forget mouth wash and brushing,

Go back to the dentist. You have an infection. It may have to be reopened and repacked in order to heal correctly.

the foul odour is suggestive of an infection and may be that area isnt properly cleaned up.
u need to go back to the dentist for the pain and the bad odour.
