When your wisdom teeth are growing through, will this make your cheeks swell up?!

Question: I am going through wisdom teeth right now and you should see one of my cheeks-it looks like i am smuggling a tennis ball in it. Swelling is very common in this process-but you should go to your dentist to ensure there is not other factors causing the swelling, since that can also be a sign of infection. And if the swelling gets to be to where you are having a hard time breathing or swallowing-get to the dentist ASAP. Also-until you do get to the dentist-keep an eye out for any other signs of infection, such as redness of the area (on the outside of the cheek), if you cheek becomes hot to the touch, or if you start running a fever. Your teeth and gums are a straight shot to your heart and if you get an infection there-it could also head to the heart and you really do not want that.

Good luck!

my cheeks didn.t swell up and i still have mine, have for about 8 years, they are all sprouted as well...

wisdom teeth put alot of stress on your mouth. This can easily cause swelling, sometimes even worse when you have them pulled.
