Just Got My Tongue Pierced & Tip Of Tongue Is Slightly Numb. Why?!
Question:
Just Got My Tongue Pierced & Tip Of Tongue Is Slightly Numb. Why?
I got my tongue pierced Monday evening and it' slightly numb. Not a whole lot or anything. It kind of feels like I burned my tongue on something hot (If you've ever had that feeling). I have a slight lisp and where the ball is is slightly indented. Is it because of my tongue swelling and the ball resting on my tongue?
Answers:
2/3 of the tongue is innervated by the cranial nerver 7 - the facial nerve, if it is damaged, of course you will feel numb.
tongue has lots of blood vessels, and taste buds in them, if you want to give up food, that is a good way to do it.
