Take some clean gauze or even some klenex. Hold it on the spot..put light pressure on it, The bleeding willstop after a few minutes. Rinse your mouth with warm salt water every few minutes and don't eat on the spot until tomorrow. P.S. don't forget to put it under your pillow and even more important...don't forget to tell someone that you are doing that...??

Some IB profin first off then take some paper towl or gauze if you have it and clamp down with your teeth and apply pressure to it. Keep it in for a couple of hours then take it out. It should stop for awhile. Once it starts again reapply pressure. It should stop by tomorrow. If not when you wake up in the morning call the Dr and see what he says. He might want you to come back in. Other then that this is pretty much all you can do.

take an ibuprofen for a pain and swish salt water in your mouth

Take a moisten tea bag and use it in place of the gauze. The tannic acid in the tea helps stop the bleeding. Avoid hot beverages and don't use straws.
Avoid ibuprofen and aspirin, both decrease clotting times. If you didn't get pain medication from your dentist take Tylenol.

Gargle with salt and lemon juice ..

I am a Certified Dental Assistant and the dentist i work for tells our patients to put two 2x2 gauze folded into half then half again, in the spot and apply pressure for about 30 minutes after the 30 minutes if you are still having some bleeding then dampen a tea bag and apply pressure for about 10 minutes. Do not take anything with asprin in it. and if you are bleeding very heavily and cannot get it to stop you may want to have a Dr look at the site.
