Invisalign retainer?

i have an invisalign retainer that i have had for about 4 months now. a month ago, my orthodontist said i could start wearing it at night only. I may have skipped a couple nights inbetween (like a week ago) but just for the past couple days, my right top molar is hurting soo badly. It hurts right when i put the retainer in, and sometimes even after i take it out. It usually goes away an hour later, and i can sleep pretty well, but i wore it during the day yesterday and today to make up for the lost time, and the pain come son and off. Did my teeth move and that's why it hurts or is it something else...will it go away, or is it common to still have pain with a retainer. i had my teeth cleaning done a month ago and there were no cavities. what is goin on?

i am a dental assistant...yes unfortunately your teeth did move a little bit and that is why you are feeling discomfort try to start wearing it again as directed if the pain doesnt stop you may have to go back and have a new one made.. ps you did have your wisdom teeth out,right? if not it could be your wisdom tooth if so call you dentist office and schedule an appointment to get tooth #1 xrayed(wisdow tooth number)teeth go by a number system:)
