Stop Bad Breath Remedy - What Are The Most Effective Remedies To Stop Bad Breath!

Question: 1. The most effective treatment for bad breath is proper oral hygiene. This includes brushing your teeth at least twice a day and flossing once daily. See your dentist to have cavities filled up promptly and any gum diseases (bleeding, gingivitis, etc.) rectified.

2. A dry mouth is more prone to bad breath than a moist mouth. Drinking plenty of water or chewing sugarless mints is helpful as it stimulates saliva production, keeping the mouth moist.

3. Onions, garlic, deli meats and some types of cheese are known to cause bad breath. Avoid them whenever possible to keep your breath fresh.

4. Look for a mouthwash containing thymol and eucalyptus oil. Both these ingredients are effective against the bacteria that cause bad breath. Also, avoid mouthwash and toothpaste containing the amino acid cysteine.

5. If you have chronic bad breath then include dietary supplements along with your food such as Vitamins C and E, zinc, coenzyme Q10, and folic acid. A baking soda rinse is another home remedy that works well.

There are a number of little-known ways you can both stop and cure bad breath permanently. Just keep a look out for the ones that work for you.

brushing your teeth, flossing your teeth, going to the dentist, chewing gum, the use of breath mints,

use a tongue scraper

Chew sugarless mint gum

use listerine?

i watched a show kind of like mythbusters, they had people eat about a half bowl of garlic, then they waited 12 hours with no food

breath stunk terrible, they then tried mints, brushing teeth, and eating green foods, green foods (i think it was lettuce or something) worked best

Honestly, and this sounds really gross, but it could be a lack of flossing. When a person flosses their teeth, they rid their teeth or meat stuck between them that would otherwise rot inside one's mouth. So when someone does not floss, this meat rots inside their mouth which leads to bad breath. This is actually a very distinct smell. Just be sure to floss twice daily and if this does not help, see your dentist immediately!

regular cleaning, flossing, mouthwash, get a toothpaste with whitening and breath strips in it, tic tacs work wonders lol plus they taste yummy

Mouthwash.

All that bacteria build up in your mouth is causing that
horrible stench. Start brushing at least 3 times a day
(including tongue), flossing, and MOUTHWASH.

Take about 1 or 2 minutes rinsing your mouth after
you brush you teeth.

& if that doesn't work, I know my friends have bought
this breath remedy, not sure what it was called,
But I know there are remedies for this case too.

Hope this helps.

TRY A DOUBLE ORDER OF GARLIC CHICKEN. THAT SHOULD COVER UP ANY UNPLEASANT EFFERVESCENT AROMA. SAY HEEEEEEELO TO EVERYONE YOU MEET.

Well, I think the most obvious answer is try to avoid foods like onions and garlic. But, since I like those foods, I find an effective way to stop/reduce bad breath is to brush my tongue while I'm brushing my teeth. I know that may seen weird but the tongue can absorb many foods and liquids and the combination over time can produce a not-so-nice odor.

Lots of reasons for bad breath. One could stem from stomach problems or other illnesses. The main one, however, is a dental issue. Brushing regularly and flossing is one of the best remedies. A thhorough clealning by your dentist or hygienist will remove any calculus [tartar} that has build up over time, along with plaque. All this buildlup sits on your teeth and starts to have a odour. There are "breath clinics" that actually analyze your saliva, take samples of it, send it a lab, along with hair samples. Its about $500.00 all together for the 2 appointments and really a rip off.
hope that helps

If brushing, flossing and a good mouth wash such as listerine does not help, it could mean you have some bad cavities or even an infection, also strep throat can cause bad breath.

Be sure to talk to not only your dentist but the Hygienist who cleans your teeth, and use a ADA approved toothpaste.
