Tooth after the canine tooth?
my dentist said that when i go to the orthodontist, the ortho will probably tell me to get the teeth after my canine a.k.a (fangs) pulled out so that i could make space for my right fang to properly come down. the fang on the left is completely in its socket but kind of crooked.
**i get very self conscious if i have missing teeth. i feel like i don't want to smile or talk.
anyway, my question is: Is it necessary to pull them out? couldn't the ortho put a spacer or whatever they put between the teeth? if they did put the spacer, would that push back the other teeth and make them crooked as well?

Your dentist probably told you correctly. Teeth do not like to be moved to the rear (posteriorly). The only way to make room is to get rid of one and the first premolar (bicuspid) behind the canine or cuspid is the one usually chosen. I don't blame you for not wanting to lose a tooth. Is it any help to know that lots of your friends will have to do the same thing?
