I think it hurts like heck for about 24 hours and then just hurts "regular" for another couple of days... by Saturday you should be "unswollen" and on your way to a full recovery!!! YAH!! it's over and done with good 4 you! Tylenol works best for me... good on the warm salt water..keep it coming. ?
pain was really dull--Thank you Tylenol 3 painkillers! but the swelling lasted like 3-4 days...after that it was really easy and just avoiding crunchy food and straws..anything that could get stuck in the holes... It wasn't a big deal at deal at all
I was sore for at least a week. I didnt take the meds so I was in pain. Everyone is different with pain. That was my choice. Have minor jaw pain once in a while in that area. Dont know why. Not enough to not have the other taken out.
It was a relief too. I felt immediate pressure taken off the jaw area once the one was out. It was packed in there. Theres lots of blood too. That can last a day or two. Rinse a lot with salt water. Keep your mouth clean as it heals. In the long run a healthy mouth is a healthy heart so get it done.
If the swelling is not getting better, go to the dentist and make sure there isn't an infection. You should feel noticeably better on the second day. Not great, but better. If you aren't, go and have yourself checked out. Feel better fast.
