Wisdom teeth removed?
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in 2004. I went to the dentist in December and he said I had a 5th wisdom tooth growing in. He showed it to me on the x-ray and everything. It is really small. He said this is really rare but it happens. He also joked that the stress I went through my 1st semester of law school probably made it come in. I just hope it doesn't grow anymore and grows sideways like the last 4 that had to be cut out. Can anyone give me any insight on this? Has this happened to anyone before? What can be the cause of an extra wisdom tooth?

The only thing I can suggest is that you seek the opinion of another dentist, just for confirmation. A second opinion is never a bad thing. Just make sure that the second dentist is from a different practice, and that you let your original dentist know that you will be seeking a second opinion.
