I would put having braces off until you are out of high school. That is what I had to do. I was in the same boat. I was all-state, all-region, all-area, section leader at school band and at my community orchestra, and I was also in a Jazz-Pop group that went around to do different gigs. I waited until I was in college before I got braces and I am glad I did.. I got a great scholarship to a University will everything paid because I waited.
