Is it okay to eat ice cream while having braces?? Any other suggestions?

I JUST got my braces on and I tried to eat tofu and it hurt really bad. My teeth are just really sore. WHAT CAN I DO!!?! PLEASE HELP ME!!!


Answers:

take some ibuprofen (advil) or tylenol for the pain. Try eating soft foods, ice cream is okay but don't eat only ice cream. Your teeth will gradually get use to the braces. Every time the orthodontist makes an adjustment (tightening your braces) to move your teeth, your teeth will ache for a few days.
