My orthadontist said i may need a permanant retainer..[basically a peice of wire behind my front teeth]
What do they do??
Hold the teeth..??
Can you move the teeth to a position before you do it..???

Permanant retainers are no big deal. They keep your teeth from shifting after you've finished with your braces. It is very important that your orthodontist show you how to floss underneath the retainer. The lower front teeth are notorious for acquiring tartar build-up and to prevent a gum problem.
