Has anyone ever had a root canal here?!

Question: How was it?

Answers: How was it?

I had my first this morning and i was terrified! But all that felt uncomfortable was the numbing shot.. i didnt feel anything else.. :) So relax.. Its nothing.

well if they numb u up u wont feel a thing , but its sad when u know ur tooth is dead

It is scary, but not at all painful. I would recommend it if your dentist does. It's much better than alternatives like extraction.

Yes, I have.

If you need a root canal, you are probably already in a lot of pain.
Last time I had a root canal,
I was hurting so badly, that when the dentist gave me those excrutiatingly painful shots in my mouth, I didn't feel the shots! I hadn't slept all night long from the pain (and I had been taking Advil and Tylanol). I fell asleep in the dentist's chair.

If you are just curious about root canals, I will tell you this:
TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH !!
I heard all of the banter about dental hygene, but didn't take it seriously. I have felt pain so bad that I fear what I may have done to myself, if I had a gun handy.
Ever seen "Castaway" with Tom Hanks? As painful as it looks, I can completely believe someone using a skate like that. It looked painful to the audience; I am certain it was a relief to that character.

it bases on a type of root canal treatment and status of tooth pulp (organic tissue inside the tooth such as nerve blood vessels and cells). if the tooth dead (non vital) ,u will not feel any pain. But if the tooth is vital ,u may feel some until completion of pulp tissue removal. However , if the tooth was well anesthetized , u would not feel anything.
N,B : ask your dentist to disinfect and clean the tooth properly

regards
