Question: its because if the mint flavor. Try it take one of those mint candies eat it and drink watter it will feel freezing. Mint stimulates your senses in your tongue making the water feel colder than it really is. Seriously try one of those Altoids and then drink watter i tried it, the water really does get colder.

depends lf your close to a lake the water gets colder depending how cold the lake is

It probably seems colder, because when you brush your teeth, you remove plaque which may be covering exposed root surfaces (for example, in areas of recession). Also, speaking more long-term, if you start brushing your teeth regularly and you have gingivitis at the time, the gums will stop swelling and thereby cover less tooth structure... but this is better than keeping the gingivitis and possibly losing bone because of the gingivitis. If the cold is an issue for you, you may consider using a toothpaste such as Sensodyne which with time will result in less sensitivity for your teeth. Take care.

because of the fresheners in the toothpaste... it usually lasts 15 to 30 minutes....
