What will the dentist do? Its sorta badly chipped, but doesnt hurt yet.?!
Question: My buttom molar on the left is chipped. The left side of the tooth has nothing left. It stops right on the gum lining. The right side of the tooth is still normal. Its like a light brown color. I have a appointment for this tooth in APRIL, 2 months away. I already had a root canal done on my other molar, then the filling came out and I didnt get it filled because I hated the dentist. It ended up getting infected and I had an abcessed tooth where my whole cheek swoled right up. I went to another dentist and he pulled it. It wasnt bad at all except for the shots.
What do you think he will do? Pull it or do another root canal and fill it? Has anyone had a root canal? Did it hurt? I cant quite remember. Im only 16 years old. My first time to a dentist was when I wasl ike 13 or 14. I know, I HATE THEM, but I dont have really messed up teeth at all. There just stained a little bit. The main reason I hate them is because I hate needles.

Brush twice a day, every day. Brush the proper way. Floss too. Quit drinking sodas all the time; they are some of the worst culprits.

it depends on the dentist and the country where you are having it done. In Ireland because you tooth isnt hurting we would take and x-ray and if they was no abcess present we would fill it with amalgam. In america they dont use amalgam anymore and because it is so close to the gum a white filling would be very hard to do so they may root treat it. This just feels like a filling but takes longer to do. You must get it filled after a root treatment even if falls out most places will do it again for free. There is no point in getting a root treatment with out the filling because it will get in infected.
