You'll be fine with your braces. I've had mine 2yrs. now and hope soon to get them off. They are always a little uncomfortable but soon you'll get use to them. Be sure and use your wax when the wires start sticking. Just think of the pretty smile you will have when this is over!!!

don't eat anything that is sticky, chewy, and hard.. i know that ur teeth hurt right now but in a few days u will b fine. take motrin in the mean time for pain and eat soft foods. be sure to take motrin before u go next time that way when the pain kicks n it won't be so bad... no pain no gain.. :) Report It

  • They usually hurt for about four days after you go to the orthodontist after that they start to feel better. During those four days you just might want to stick with soft foods. You should never eat hard sticky candy such as taffy or bubblegum.

well my brother had braces and for the first few weeks he couldn't have any solid foods, because it hurt so bad when he tried to chew. i would stick with soup.

no chewy foods: gummy bears, bubble gum, ect ect
try not to eat apples, if you do slice them up
lets see, you can;t eat hard foods like jolly ranchers or anything, they might break your braces. thats about all i could remember

I got braces about three months ago. the first week they were really bothersome and annoying. i ate soup until i got sick of it! ha ha.. then i just started cutting food into little pieces so they were easier to chew. i still have trouble eating things sometimes, but for the most part i have gotten used to them. make sure you brush good! :)

it took about a week for it to start hurting and i couldn't eat nothing
so i lost 15 pounds that week
but try rice or macaroni or something that your don't have to chew just swallow
