they do completely different things
i have an expander (like a plate you cant take out) and braces
so no you cant.
dont worry you can get porceline braces that r very discrete and hard to see

I was told I needed braces and asked the dentist exactly the same question and he said that the plates are just for after like to finish making the teeth straight. If yours is the same then no but it's always worth asking your dentist/orthodontist.

Listen, i am 13 getting bracers, dont worry! as long as he doesnt put them on to tight u will be perfectly normal! id ask him for your teeth colour braces plates are bad

That all depends on how bad the condition of your teeth, if your dentist says you need braces, then you need them! Braces are not the same with plates, braces are to be used to align and keep the teeth together. Dental plates are used to replace missing teeth just like a false teeth, or may also be used as an expander.

Ur question is not very clear, and way
Ur age, how much the overbite is over and if there are other teeth need to be aligned, .. these all affect the treatment plan and no one can decide unless after examining ur teeth...
so ask ur dentist and he will tell u....
but i thing in all cases braces gives better results

answering your question- theyre completely different things but...
if your situation is not too bad, listen to me, try this - Invisalign- it's a mild teeth correction device.
I'm gonna have it in a couple of weeks

yeah, it maybe costs more and have less effect if you have a really serious problem but for mild problems I suggest it
