Yes, the safe amount would be any amount of teeth that a patient has that need to be extracted. Very often we remove anywhere from a few teeth to all 32 remaining teeth to fit a patient with dentures. Usually they have lost a good majority of teeth, but it is safe to remove them all and place an immediate denture.

In your case, having four out at one visit is not a problem. Just follow your home care instructions, take any medications prescribed and Advil or Motrin, if advised by your dentist and you will do fine.

4 in one go is quite safe, if the dentist knows what he's doing and if you have no other health problems.
