Future of A Dead Crowned Tooth?!

Question:

Future of A Dead Crowned Tooth?

If there is a cavity in a crowned tooth which results in the nerve dying, is it always the case that there will be a continuing infection in that tooth and that the infection will spread to the jaw? Or is it possible that the body could absorb the decay, and the tooth remain in the mouth without causing further problems?

Answers:

Decay doesn't stop. It will continue to decay.
