Answers: They're so painful!! help!!

go 2 wallgreens and get stuff called orabase it is a paste it works really good it will go away in 5 days and when u put it on u feel like u dont even have a canker sore!!!!!!!!!

Salt water rinse can help with the pain and healing.

For the pain, take a tums and put it on one of the canker sores. Are you taking any antibiotics of other medicines. If you suddenly get a whole bunch of canker sores that come at the same time then you could be having an allergic reaction to your medicines.

Below is some information from familydoctor.org

Anyone can get canker sores, but women and people in their teens and 20s get them more often. Canker sores may run in families, but they aren't contagious. Doctors don't know what causes canker sores, but they may be triggered by stress, poor nutrition, food allergies and menstrual periods.

How are canker sores treated?
Canker sores usually go away without any treatment. For pain relief, you can try taking ibuprofen (brand name: Advil) or acetaminophen (brand name: Tylenol). Other medicines, such as Anbesol, Orajel, Orabase and Zilactin-B, might keep your canker sores from becoming irritated by eating, drinking or brushing your teeth. These medicines are applied directly on the sore.

You can also mix equal amounts of Milk of Magnesia and Benadryl Allergy liquid. After it's mixed, you can swish a teaspoonful in your mouth for about 1 minute and then spit it out. If you do this every 4 to 6 hours, your canker sores may hurt less.

Some people think that sucking on zinc lozenges, taking vitamin C or vitamin B complex, using a sage-and-chamomile mouthwash or taking a lysine supplement helps their canker sores heal faster.

.

Best non-medical treatment is to eat lots of yogurt. It can be flavored yogurt, but it HAS to have live culture (read the contents on the side of the package). This works on cold sores and fever blisters too. Eat 2 - 4 packages a day (Dannon fruit yogurt is one, I can't think of the others at the moment). In as little as a day or two you will notice a difference. Don't forget LIVE culture yogurt only!

The orabase paste helps too but the yogurt is a more permanent treatment.

i know wat u go through but put salt in water about aleast every two hours and try rubbing your sour with your tonge cause siliva helps and avoid eating things salty except for the salt in your water

first don't use salt water. it's an abbrasive and it can actually cause the canker sores to stay LONGER. what i do is brush my teeth, use mouth wash and not eat sugary things when i have canker sores. i useto try salt water- it seamed to help, but then i tried brushing more often and staying away from sweets and it went away a-lot faster.

hope this helps

salt water does close it but it keeps "stuff" insinde that spot, so the canker sore will more than likely come back.

This may sound stupid but it works for me. I take a straight pin and clean the end off with alcohol and prick the center of the canker sore and it closes up and stops hurting and it goes away in a day or two. I get them when I eat a lot of aciddy(spelling ?) foods such as tomatoes or drink a lot of orange juice.

Tee-tree oil taste bad but works
