Is flossing really that important?!

Question: Thats my question.

Answers: Thats my question.

umn of course you silly!!!
its very important!!!!

Brushing teeth properly and consistently helps to remove most dental plaque, but, brushing alone cannot remove plaque that is located in places that a toothbrush cannot reach -- particularly between teeth. In addition to removing plaque, flossing also helps to:

remove debris that adheres to teeth and gums inbetween teeth
polish tooth surfaces
control bad breath

Flossing should take place at least once a day for two to three minutes each time to be most effective!!!!

Yes! You know what they say.. only floss between the teeth that you want to have later in your life!

yes it is, try it and see what comes out from your teeth

yes. you get things stuck in there and it can cause germs in the gums and gum disease.

YES! Flossing is just about as important as brushing! Flossing gets all the stuff in between your teeth that your brush misses! My Mom is a hygenious (sp?) and has always thought me the importance of flossing! If you can't do it everyday you should also use mouth wash, it helps a little!

Yes. Flossing removes the plaque in hard to brush places. Plaque not only works to dissolve your tooth enamel (which is painful) but the bacteria involved contribute to heart problems and other major health issues.

Brushing , flossing, and doing a germ-killing rinse will not only keep you better smelling and painfree, it actually may help you live longer.

When you brush your teeth you are only hitting 60% of the tooth. There are 2 surfaces of the 5 a tooth has which a brush can't reach. We see at least 75% of our decay and almost all of our gum disease starting here [interproximally]. You only need to floss 1x a day to disrupt the bacteria and aleviate these problems for the most part. So get out the floss.

Of course. Flossing removes plaque that is hidden inside the gums. So start flossing.

Yes it is as is using a mouth wash. All parts of dental hygene are important if we want to keep our own teeth.
If you don't like to floss or putting your hands inside your mouth then try floss picks you can even get to the very back teeth with thise method. I use these.

Hope this helps and have a nice day.;-)
