I just got surgery yesterday, and it really hurts! What should I do?!
Question: My mouth really hurts because I got two teeth extracted, and then they put packing in it, and it tastes like throw-up!!! What should I do? It really hurts!!!

Aww im sorry i hope you feel better! Just lay around (go on polyvore and comment huskey's sets :) ) and just get lots of sleep and drink water and have some nice popsicles!
Dentist useally dont tell u to eat ice, but I put ice on the sore spots and it helps it cool it off (keep it on for about a minute) and it will numb it a little! Or you can take some Tylenol and that helps... Advil too, but Tylenol in my suggestion is better!

Tylenol, Advil or Aleve can help the pain and inflammation.
if they gave you something for pain take it, if they didn't call them and tell them you need something!!!!!!!!!

they should have given you something stronger, like vicoden. Couple this with something for inflammation (i.e. Motrin, Ibuprofen (same thing))..drink plenty of water, this will help keep your mouth "rinsed out". and wait..it will take about 3 or so days for the pain to become bearable enough to not need to take the strong stuff, then you can switch to tylenol.
Take Advil if the dentist did not give you pain medication...if he did take that. Rinse your mouth out carefully with warm water and a tsp. or so of salt. do this until tomorrow morning. If it is not at least 75% better call your dentist. OR if it gets way worse tonight call and you will get the doctor's "service"..they will have the doc call you back!! Good luck...p.s if you can get any extra attention out of this..that's not

well it looks like u have to either deal with it or try too fine some stuff that makes it better
ice might help some and it will help the swelleness and it might help u feel a bit better
dont chew it just like hold it up to where it hurts or swollen
