Please, im so scared.......? One dentist after the other with in 30 to 45 minutes. Can I be put to sleep??

I have some teeth that need to be pulled in the back of my mouth,they are decayed, I have not been back to the dentist for fear, terrible fear of the dentists. I would rather be in pain. But my sister told me that it is poison in my body the longer I have them in my mouth. I am trying to be health concious, and getting rid of the teeth are the beginning. I went to the dentist in Halloween Eve 2004, and they shot me in my mouth about 4 to 5 times each, I say each because I saw 4 Dentist in the same day, same clinic, they couldnt understand why I was still feeling what they were doing, WHY KEEP SHOOTING ME WITH NUMBING STUFF??? Finally, a Dental Surgeon came in and sat next to me and tried shooting me and pulling. It didnt work, I told him I was in pain. He ended up giving me antibiotics, and sending me home. Is there a such thing of them putting you to sleep? I cant see another dentist, I m to afraid, i am crying just typing this. I live in Michigan. Were they suppose to do this?

Whether or not that clinic will do it, you can be put to sleep. You might have to go to a specialist and pay out of pocket. Another thing to try is some valium or similar tranquilizer before the appointment so you'll be nice and calm before they try to numb you up. You have to go back to the dentist and describe the experience to him just like you described it here and hope that he can find a way for your medical to pick up the tab. Your primary care doc or dentist should be able to prescribe valium, xanax, or klonopin for your appointment, but any of these may interfere with being put out, so make sure you don't take them except under orders and only if the dentist knows about it.
