If you have used a Waterpik, are you happy with it?!

Question: I am considering buying a Waterpik Ultra to help keep my teeth clean, as I tend to get gingivitis easily. I would like to hear from anyone who has used a Waterpik to know if you liked it and if it really helped with your teeth/gums. The website claims 93% better cleaning than brushing and flossing. Thanks for any answers!

They are great as long as used correctly. Always use on low settings, never high. Always point straight at teeth, not directly down into gums, this can tear the gums. You point it directly at tooth, 90 degree angle. This creates a vacuum that sucks stuff out from gums. Point it right at the tooth just above the gumline. Follow the gumline around all teeth. To really be happy with a Waterpik, you will want the new cordless hand held waterpik. It has no cord and is much smaller than other waterpiks. The smaller water tank enables you to easily use mouthwash or hydrogen peroxide in it to help with gingivitis even more.

I LOVE it! I've had mine over a year and it helps keep my gums healthier than flossing alone. Add a little Listerine in the water reservoir and you get that tingling feeling. And your gums will bleed less (if at all) the next time you go in for your cleaning!
