Question: My dentist said my bone may break or the cavity could be exposed? Has this happened to anyone before. Any info about it would be greatly appreciated!

Im guessing its an upper first molar you are having extracted, If the dentist took an xray he or she may see if the tooth is near your sinus. Its more than likely they are just giving you the worst case scenario, so that if any probs do occur they have warned you about the risk. Usually they are fine and you have no prob, but occasionaly they can be extracted and cause what we call a communication between the sinus and the mouth, basically just a hole from your mouth into the palate.

Try not to worry about this as I say they have prob given you the worst case and if it is likely to happen at least they will be prepared for it!

If its just a small hole then they prob wont do anything, if however its a little larger then they will just place some sutures (stitches)

dont worry im sure you'll be in safe hands!

i think i'd go see another dentist for a second opinion friend.those are possibilities, but shouldn't be if your dentist is competent.
