Sore on the roof of my mouth?!

Question: High, I don't know why but the roof of my mouth like almost in back of my two front teeth, its killing me. I have an over-bite and, whenever I eat it touches it and it hurts alot. I don't know what it is. Its really sensitive, even if i touch it alittle it hurts. It feels like a bump though. Idk what causes it but its effecting how I eat, and I cant enitely close my mouth because them my bottom teeth hit it and it hurts like hell. And when i hit it really hard it throbs. It feels like the roof of my mouth is like, beating. Whats on the roof of my mouthh??

Everyone has a little tissue blob-thing right behind our two front teeth. Usually, we don't pay attention to it. But if your bottom teeth are hitting it regularly, or even resting on it, it might be aggravating the tissue there and it swells. I know, because I have irritated mine and gets puffy and tender and absolutely when your bottom teeth touch it, it will hurt.

I think the only way to get it to heal is to be careful to not put any pressure on the area with your teeth and try to manouver food away from it for 2-3 days. Try swishing with warm salt water. With your overbite, you will have to be careful of the tissue blob, and ask your dentist next time you are there if there is anything else you can do to avoid aggravating it.

Hello, it sounds like you have a deep overbite that causes you to hit the gums with your lower teeth. You need to see a dentist who can look at the tissue to see if there is anything else wrong there, or if you might just need a bite splint.

It could possibly be a burn from hot food, you may have hit this area with your teeth and cut the gums, or you may have a cold sore/ fever blister.
