Yes, I had all of mine pulled the same day, and like you, dentures were put in immediately. I knew before I had my teeth pulled, that I would have dental implants placed in my mouth, so that my smile would look natural and so that I would be able to eat anything I want, including apples, nuts, etc, that most people with dentures can no longer eat comfortably. It was a two year process for complete upper and lower dental implants, but it was certainly worth the wait....no one can tell the implants are not my natural teeth and chewing is a real joy, as I never could get used to the lower denture, because it would loosen up when I was eating, and it just never fit properly, no matter how many adjustments were made to them....again, I love my implants and have a GREAT, white smile.
Are you sure you went to a dentist or doctor of dental surgery? I had my wisdom teeth pulled one at a time, but I still have the others. However, anyone I know who has had even one tooth pulled has to take certain precautions (such as gauze pad pressure, rinses, cold packs) and that's for 24 hours. If there were a situation where you had all your teeth pulled, you'd have to be under anesthesia likely (due to time it would take and pain, etc.). I can't imagine anyone wearing dentures the next day. I'd call and visit another dentist as soon as possible. Something is not quite right. Perhaps I am misunderstanding this question?
