Brush once a day - with a small soft bristle brush. Angle it towards the gumline - and don't brush your gums.

Scratches from toothbrushes cause an area to become infected - your body fights back with an ulcer.

Swirl hot salty water 3 times daily to help your body fight the infection.
Look into diet and possible supplements to keep your body "well armed" to fight infections quickly.

Ill health is nearly always caused by poor diets.

I brushed my teeth like you for 30 years - now am told I have caused erosion - due to too much brushing!

If you're a female it's probably related to your hormones. Try using a toothpaste without sodium laurel (or laureth) sulfate. They're hard to find and not cheap but will definitely help.

Believe it's down to good old 'oral hygiene' dude, try some 'mouthwash' along with ya brushing, straight afterwards preferably.....or once in the evening before ya bedtime, that's what i do... works ok for me!.....

Ulcers can form where at the site of an injury where bacteria has got into the blemish.

Viral, fungal and bacterial processes can lead to Ulcers.

They can also form as a symptom of poor diet, lack of essential vitamins or minerals etc.

I don't get them very often but sometimes it because you can brush too hard, it upsets the gum,

i do "all the right things" and i still tend to get them periodically, too. sometimes i think there is a genetic predisposition to getting ulcers, just like anything else.

or, maybe it's just our stinkin' bad luck!

It may be due to nutrient deficiency. Consult a doctor and follow the prescription and take vitamin rich foods.
