Getting my wisdom teeth removed.....?!

Question:

Getting my wisdom teeth removed.....?

My husband is in the Army and our dental SUCKS. It is going to cost me about $900 to get my wisdom teeth removed and of course they don't offer a payment plan. So here is my question.....if I showed up at the ER and was in horrible pain with impacted wisdom teeth....would they have to treat me (remove them)?? Or do you think they would just give me pain meds and tell me to see my dentist??

No....not for the family members. The Soldier gets all his/her dental for free....the family has co-pays and has to pay a percentage of any kind of surgery or fillings. There isn't even a military dentist FOR family members....we are only allowed to see civilians.

Answers:

They would probably give you pain meds and tell you to make an appointment with the dentist.

You could try a local college of dentistry, they often will have low cost procedures. The down side is the students get to the the procedure, but under supervision.
