New tongue ring and the dentist?

I just got my tongue pierced a week ago, but a problem has come up with my wisdom teeth. I know he'll have to do x-rays, so do I have to take out my tongue piercing and let it close up? Or can I get a plastic barbell put in?

My wisdom teeth are actually pushing my last three molars on the top left side out of the gums. I don't know if I should just take it out and leave it, or wait.

I've had x-rays with my stud in, it shouldn't be a problem. My wisdom teeth flared up when I had my tongue pierced too, there was nothing going on but the general oral pain was terrible.

Wait to see what the dentist says about your teeth. Even if you need them out, it can be a couple of months wait to get in to see an oral surgeon. The site will be healed by then and you can remove it for the operation and put it back in afterwards.
