It will all be ok. Don't worry. They can do wonderful things with dentistry now, and most dentists are more than willing to work with you and your insurance to find ways to pay for whatever needs to be done. They can work out a payment plan that works with your budget and other bills to cover the part your dental insurance does not cover.

What actually gets done depends on several things. How bad the teeth are, what your insurance covers, and what you're willing to do.

If the teeth are repairable, they will grind them down a bit, and put caps over them. They'll be as good as new. Sometimes, they have to pull the teeth. If that happens, they'll put in a bridge that covers the gap, or they'll put in implants.

But, no matter what... repeat after me "It will all be ok." Your dentist will assess the teeth and go from there. He/she wants to help you, and will do everything in their power to help our situation.

proably not, as someone who knows a dentist and was in your situation as long as brush, floss, rinse and drink milk you should be ok. Talk with your dentist and maybe see a psychologist about your fear. Good luck.

yes, they probably will replace or cap them.
I know you're scared, but don't be too scared.
Remember, the worst pain is the shot. After that everything is so numb, you truly do not feel anything!

Tip: Bring your iPod, or something. put on the head phones and play the music really loud.

It helps me immensely!

.

Depends how bad it is and how it is hurting you.

in general the dentist would probably just drill and clean the plaque/rot and then fill it.

But if it is hurting you, then he/she would give you a root canal.

Yupp, most likely they will replace them if you so choose, so they won't look rotten- and depending on how well your dentist is he/she will make them look real. They will always give you your options, and also will show you some pictures of previous procedures so you can know if you want to do it or not.
GOOD LUCK!

if the teeth are in the back of your mouth where you can't notice them in normal conversation, they probably wont' replace them. However, if they're in the front, you can get veneers to go over them so it will look like you have normal teeth if they pull them out. I think they're pretty expensive, but you shouldn't neglect your mouth. I did for awhile too, and it sucks. I hate the dentist worse than anything but it's hard to live with the pain too.

Don't sweat it, I've had LOTS of dental work done. Before I got braces at age 14 they had to pull 6 teeth ( I had an over crowded jaw) Then I had braces for 4 LONG years....Just recently I had my first 3 cavities filled.... Amazingly none if it ever hurt. They give you lots of Novocaine to numb everything. Please don't be scared! Hell I'll be having all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in a couple months!.... Don't be afraid of the fake teeth, the technology is so much better now and they look totally natural. There are a lot of options from tooth implants, to a bridge...talk to your dentist about it, he or she will tell you everything you need to know! It's really not that bad sweetie!
