Enamel building/fixing toothpastes...do they really work?!

Question: when they claim to help re-build enemel do they work? whats the best one? whats a good one to protect enamel? im scared my enamel is thin and i don't know why i take good care of my teeth, i have had my braces off for 4 years and only whitened them once with dentist stuff, why would they be thinning and can this be fixed at a dentist so they look nicer?

They say once enamel is gone, you can't get it back. However, you can make the enamel you have strong. Colgate is one of the best toothpastes you can use. They do have one for enamel, which really works. Also, use Act Restoring Mouthwash. It fills soft spots, strengthens the enamel, and helps prevent cavities. Before I used the Colgate and Act Restoring Mouthwash, the bottom of my top teeth, and top of my bottom teeth looked a little thin. I started using the Colgate and mouthwash, and my teeth started to feel stronger, and they didn't look see through anymore. After I spit out the mouthwash, I leave a little in my mouth, and use my toothbrush to gently brush the left over mouthwash over my teeth. It really helped! Also, if your teeth are thinning, you can get veneers or bonding done.

If you brush too much, it can be bad. It can thin your enamel out, and it can cause gum recession. You *should* brush after breakfast, after lunch, and before you go to bed, but at least brush 2 times a day. Also, use a soft bristle brush.

The best thing to do is brush 2-3x a day, use mouthwash once in the morning, once at night, and floss once a day. Your night night you should brush, floss, then use mouthwash.
