Bleeding is the single most indicating sign of gum inflammation, and could be a result of periodontal disease. Brushing regularly would not help reducing bleeding or relieving inflammation if periodontal disease is already present. the contributing factors like (subginigival calculus) or under the gum tartal build up cannot be removed by brushing alone, and needs professional help, what's called deep cleaning.
you need to know that a very high number of population have periodontal disease, and not even aware of it.
Brushing hard will cause gum recession rather than bleeding.
if you are on blood thinners like Aspirin, you are more likely to bleed when you brush, some systemic diseases like Diabetes, can increase your gum reaction to mild periodontal disease, mouth breathing can cause gum inflammation as well, and the likely hood of bleeding when brushing, same goes for wearing braces.
the best is to visit your dentist to make sure of the diagnosis, and get the proper treatment if needed.

well man depends on how hard you are brushing them when i brush hard i bleed to man as well and depends on the motion i go up and down for front teeth and side to side for back and under and behind the teeth hope i help

Gingivitus could be one thing. My gums bleed sometimes too but I have sensitive teeth and gums. You should go to a dentist and have that looked at right away because if its serious you don't want any time waisted.

It means your gums are swollen and means you're either not brushing enough, or have gingivitis.

i hope you don't lick twat because you can get aids in the mouth.
Further more try flosing it could be gingavitis and brushing softer or buying a softer tooth brush.

could be quite a few things.
1) use a soft bristle brush
2) don't brush your gums
3) floss regularly, though this will initially cause your gums to bleed.
4) you should brush for ~ 2minutes
5) are you taking any medications? Coumadin, aspirin, or possibly motrin may cause this. (many more drugs than that can cause bleeding)
5) any other health issues? Von Willebrand? Leukopenia?
6) I did talk with some guy who went on a super crazy diet where he was only eating one taco shell a day. No calcium intake made all his teeth loose with some bleeding. Don't do anything stupid like that. But if you do, take a vitamin.

When your gums bleed, it's a sign of gingivitis. Which is an inflammation of the gums. This is usually caused when bacteria builds up within your gums and causes an infection. Brushing your teeth only gets the surface clean. You must also floss, this removes all the bacteria within the middle of your teeth. When you start flossing about twice a day, I guarentee that your bleeding gums will go away quickly. The link below will give you some good information.

First of all make sure you are using a soft bristle toothbrush, plus don't scrub sooo hard on your gums.

Flossing will help the process if you do it daily and make sure you brush softly.

Also, if it's continuous you should see your dentist cause you might have gingivitis?!?

It simply could be a toothbrush problem. Check whether that the brush your currently using has soft, nice bristles, if not, then this might be the cause. While brushing, spend 1.5 minutes on each set, brush in a circular motion and do make sure you brush some of the gum, but sensitively.

If not, it could possibly be Gingivitis. Which can be treated with Medicine with the go-ahead from your dentist.

bleeding gums can be a warning and obvious sign that you are under attack by gum disease. be aware that gum disease shows off a warning sign in the advanced stage. have it checked by a dental expert to get proper treatments.

tooth loss can eventually happen if you left gum disease untreated. if do not pay close attention to good oral hygiene then it can result to gum problems. make it a habit to carefully and properly brush and floss teeth every after meal. this can help remove plaque that sticks around teeth. and can fight bad bacteria that can cause oral infections.

teeth should be brushed at least 2 minutes for each brushing. flossing should be done once a day.
