Tooth abscess?!


Question: I had several tooth extractions yesterday, one tooth i was in severe pain and once extracted there was an abcess accompanying it. Can these abcesses spread to other neighbouring teeth?

After extractions, if you smoke, this can cause a dry socket.
I hear it is more painful than the extractions themselves.

Keep taking your meds and keep the dental appt for the recheck.

They can, so make sure you keep taking your anti-biotics that your dentist should have given you and resist alcohol for a while if you consume it

You need antibiotics to clear it up as it may get worse.

My symtathy. I am pestered with abcesses apparently its genetic and ive lost 3 teeth already because of them. Ive told the dentist from now on if they reoccur that i just want antibiotics and no more extractions lol i hate having teeth pulled.

get some antibiotics and complete the course you will have no more problems
