Are dental hygienists in demand?!

Question: I live in Arkansas and Im sure nobody on here knows about the specific state but ive tried to look on job search websites and theres no jobs. However, on UAMS (university of ark. for med. sciences) it says an rdh starts out in ark at 50000 a year with a 4 day work week. apparently only 25 are accepted every year. Does this sound like they are in demand or not?

Dental hygienists are very in demand and growing, especially in AR. You will have to travel out of LittleRock to smaller more in demand areas to make 50000 on a 4 day work week usually. Normal for larger areas is 230 per day whith upwards of 260 or more a day in more demand areas. You can't go wrong, but you might have to move to a different town after dental hygiene school.

Hygienists are in demand throughout the country. my hygienists start at $37 an hour and the senior one is at $45 an hour. It is a very lucrative career if you can tolerate working in the mouth. You are almost guarenteed lifetime employment with this degree. I highly recommend it.
