Abscess Tooth & Extraction?!

Question:

Abscess Tooth & Extraction?

I went to my dentist today for a look at my abscess, they said it was a pretty normal abscess. I found out that my tooth with the abscess is actually a primary/first tooth. I have been taking clindamycin for a day now and he wants me to come in tomorrow to pull the tooth because it has a cavity too and is not repairable. My question is it normal to have a tooth pulled while I still have the abscess infection going on? I know my dentist is the one telling me this, but just wanted some opinions. Being this tooth is a "baby" tooth and my infection was normal I assume all will be well. Thanks for input all :)

francheska: This tooth actually broke when eating hard foods and I was not aware that it could cause such a problem, I do take very well care of my teeth as they are the only ones I have. Thanks for the feedback though.

Answers:

its alright to have ur baby tooth pulled out, since its creating such a problem, and the baby tooths roots arent there either, its jus hanging in place. ur set of permanent teeth when u grow older have no use of the baby teeth
