Did you grow your wisdom teeth? Did they have to be taken out?!

Question: I never got my wisdom teeth. Does that mean that I'm a dummy?

Answers: I never got my wisdom teeth. Does that mean that I'm a dummy?

No your lucky. There was no room for my wisdom teeth to come in so they surgically removed all four of them. The worse part is that they didn't do it all at once either. It came out to two surgeries. Each time they took out two. Talk about the worst kind of pain. I couldn't eat solid food for two weeks. Two weeks of soup can drive you crazy. Plus they medicine they gave me kept me in bed for most of that two weeks. It drained me of all my energy. My boyfriend had to help me get from the bed to the bathroom and then back to bed.

lol - some peopl never get them! count yourself lucky, cost near up 2 grand to have mine taken out!

I had mine pulled and got a dry socket... the most painful thing I've ever experienced =(

No it doesn't, but my oral surgeon said that people who don't have theirs pulled need to be checked every couple of years for some kind of problems that can arise. Talk to your dentist.

I got wisdom teeth and they got taken out in high school (6 years ago)... grades haven't been the same ever since

Mine are fully grown, but only the top ones but they dont bother me, so i havnt tooken them out...

no ur lucky my dentist told me that some people will get all four some get 2 and the lucky get none. I have to get 2 removed soon. sucks much! haha.

Well if you are I am too. I never got wisdom teeth either.

It depends how old u r . u usually get it when u we are about 15-16 year old and it takes almost a year and a half to 2 years to completely grow. But no u r not a dummy. They just call it wisdom teeth because u get it when u are about a universal mature age( that would be 18). U don't have to take it out, but because it is at the back of your mouth and it's hard to brush to take off the plaques which causes gingivitis and tooth decay. they tend to get decayed faster, so u usually they take it out when u are in 20s.

Don't worry about it, they are in there some-
where. I knew there was something different
about you but I just could'nt get my teeth into
the exact reason. An Army dentist took mine
out, litterally. I fought back but he won. That
was in the old days when the Army was
cutting back on cost, including novacaine.
