I have a concern with my chompers! Help!?!
Question: I had a cavity filled about 2 weeks ago. Still, everytime I eat, i get an awful pain all throughout my jaw, it's not just cold or hot foods, just biting down hurts. My dentist is about an hour away so i don't want to waste a trip if it's just a little sore still but if anyone knows more about teeth, is it possible that I may have had some other damage? or anything like that? I've had fillings before and i've never had this problem.

The filling may have irritated the tooth to the point of needing a root canal to fix the problem, or you might just need to have the filling adjusted. Get to your dentist to have the filling evaluated.

it sounds like you need to go back to the dentist. i have had fillings before but they never hurt that long.

Sounds to me that you wasted the trip to begin with. Dentist's make mistakes (Believe Me !!!). You may want to question his professional opinion and work ethics, sometimes they WILL lie to cover up an error or errors that they have made. It is a shame, as I'm sure there must be a few dentists out there that care more about dental health than their fat wallet, and Mercedes Benz. Good Luck !
