40 years old and have braces am i stupid for getting them?!

Question: No I applaud you for doing something for yourself. More and more adults are getting braces for various reasons, however the main one is that adults are more financially able too. Many young adults (college age, just married etc.) are financially strapped, they are worried about tuition, children, house payments etc. Being a little older (forty is not old, I don't mean to imply that it is, I'm thirty-five) means that you are more financially stable, you have a better understanding of yourself and what you want. I have seen people in their sixties and early seventies get braces because they want to do something for themselves. They always worried about kids, grandkids etc. and they feel like it is high time to do something to make themselves look and feel better. Again bravo to you, you won't regret it.

no! you are doing something good 4 urself

Not stupid. It's just rather insane, since most people who wear braces are 11-14 years old. It would've been smarter to get Invisiligns.

No. I know older guys that have them.

No way. That's great!

I WOULDNT GET IT

Not at all. My uncle got them in his 40's. Many people couldn't afford to get them any younger, so they do it now after gatting older and making some money or getting better insurance....why should you spend the rest of your life with teeth that you hate?

Go for it...

NOPE. My grandma's in her 60's and she just got them. Avoid the fact of age, and think that in two years, you'll have better teeth than everyone you know!!
Hope this helps!!
XOXO

Age is just a number!

I applaud you for getting them... you will see that in a few months when you have allot straighter teeth, that it is worth it. even the feelings that you are too old for them go away after seeing your teeth transform

no not at all!
