What does a cavity feel like?!

Question: I am not sure if i have a cavity or if my wisdom tooth comin i is making my teeth shift/hurt or if im just freaking out over nothing :S sometimes i dont feel anything, sometimes its centered on 1 tooth and sometimes its another tooth that hurts, but, the teeth that hurt are all on the lower left side of my face, between the 4 last teeth that are in completely, excluding the coming-in one...if i can describe it, its like a tickling in my tooth/gum, its been comin and going for a few months now but is just starting to annoy me....i can put direct hot and cold right on the tooth and it doesnt hurt, well, u know what i mean, doesnt hurt any more than what im complaining about, another thing i find is that even after a good brushing/flossing when i bite down just closing my teeth on eachother, it feels like there is something gummy between the teeth, or like the top teeth are pushing into a softening tooth? if thats at all possible? PLEASE HELP! DO I NEED TO SEE A DENTIST?!

Yes, you need to see a dentist.
It wouldn't be prudent to make a diagnosis with absolute certainty without clinical examination.
It sounds like it could be your wisdom tooth growing, since cold and heat don't seem to increase the pain, and you haven't mentioned seeing any little "hole" on any of these teeth, you additionally also mention your gum feeling soft around the area where it hurts, which is sometimes common when lower wisdom teeth are growing.
Because sometimes this swollen soft tissue around the third molar (wisdom tooth) can trap bits of food that are difficult to remove and therefore attract bacteria, you may want to have it checked soon in order to diminish the pain and avoid an infection.
