Wisdom teeth removed: When will the string dissolve?!

Question:

Wisdom teeth removed: When will the string dissolve?

I recently (Wednesday) had my wisdom teeth removed, and the holes were sewn up with (I believe) dissolving material. When can I hope it will be gone? Also, is it normal to have them feel like they're coming out?

When should the holes be fully healed?

Answers:

The stitches will probably start to dissolve within the week. It is also normal to feel the ends of the stitches. The holes should be fully healed after about 2 to 3 weeks.
