How to get hardened plaque off one tooth at home?!

Question:

How to get hardened plaque off one tooth at home?

I have one tooth(molar) that seems to get hardened plaque on it around the gumline. No matter how hard I brush of how often I brush I can't get it off and it bugs the sh*t out of me! It looks gross not that it's very noticable and it just feels gross.
Even when I go to have my teeth cleaned at the dentist, they seem to get it off for the time being and it just comes right back. I just wish I knew how to get it off at home!
I've even tried one of those scraper pick things like they use at the dentist office and that just makes my gums bleed and barely does anything.
Please help!!!

Answers:

You are getting tartar on that tooth because you are not brushing off that sticky soft plaque frequently enough. You need to brush more frequently and more thoroughly to disrupt the plaque before it has a chance to turn crusty on your tooth. It takes about 12 hours for soft plaque to turn into crusty tartar due to the presence of calcium bicarbonate in your saliva.

Here is what you need to do:

First, go to a dentist and have them scrape the tartar off for you. Don't try to remove it yourself-- You might injure yourself doing that.

Then, you need to improve your oral hygiene routine-- You need to brush your teeth, tongue, and gums very thoroughly, right before you go to bed, and after every meal, especially around that tooth where you obviously get a lot of buildup. Floss once every day. Don't give the soft plaque that 12 uninterrupted hours it needs to harden into tartar in the first place.

Good luck.
