Hepl and tips for a 12 yr old getting 6 upper teeth pulled?!
Question: Ok Just answer the following I am very nervos and its my first time. D*** Dentist and Orthodontist.
1 Does the shot of Novicane hurt
2 How long will it take
3 Stiches- i have an incisor and 2 molars getting pulled on each side.
4 What would it feel like / sound like during the process-IPOD i AM BRINGING MY IPOD so I dont faint.
5 any suggestions for after ward pain and bleeding
6 How long would the shots of novaane last?
I am so fresh to the i deas -mi papa got 10 pulled and i FAINTED!!!\

now i am stopping.
The shot feels like a small quick pinch, as long as you hold still. If you move, it hurts. It will probably last quite a while. You should be numb at least a few hours. You shouldn't have pain during the extractions, but you will feel some pressure of them sticking things around your teeth and pushing and pulling. You may even hear a crackle and pop. You will need to bite on gauze for about an hour or so. It may be a little sore that day and somewhat the day after, but it shouldn't hurt bad. Just take a couple ibuprofen before you go to the appointment and keep taking them through the next day. If you take them every 4 hours without fail, they will work better.
You will be fine. I had 2 teeth pulled when I was 12. The most painful thing was the novacaine shot which felt like a little pinch. After that when they pull the teeth it doesn't hurt at all, you will just hear a crackle when they pull them. The most pain you wil lhave is in the waiting room, because you will be nervous.

i had four teeth pulled out for my braces when i was 12.
the shots dont really hurt.
it feels like when your leg falls asleep.
just only in your mouth. and afterwards you cant feel anything! haha
the only thing is you can hear your tooth gettin loose and coming out, which is kind of weird. but other than that your mouth is just numb. and you bleed but it stops eventually.
i think my mom was more scared than i was.lol
the only scary thing is thinking its gonna hurt more than it does.
Don't stress hun it is really not near what you are imagining. I have had plenty of teeth pulled in my years and not one has hurt. you will get some freezing that will be given by needle, my dentist always put on topical freezing as well because i was scared of needles, you will feel a very slight pinch when the needle goes in and a slight pressure as the freezing is put in, nothing painful. when the dentist pulls the teeth out you will not feel it at ALL! I remember one time him pulling mine and I laughed at him cause I thought the pliers or what ever name they have for the tool they use to extract them had slipped off my tooth little did i know that wasn't the case and the tooth had gone with them. when your done you will feel no pain, the freezing will feel weird until it wears off and then you will just be left with the gaps where your teeth were, no pain.

the shots arnt that bad but its a weird felling
depending on how much they numb you will depend on the pain
im telling the pure truth....but sorry it sucks
if they are permant teeth it hurts really bad too
