Please help.......i am very scared?

I am very afraid of going to the dentist. I have to go to the dentist today and i'm totally freaking out. I am so nervous and my stomache hurts. It get's way worse when im sitting in the chair. The last time i was there i had a panic attack and i my whole body was skaking so badly and i was on the verge of crying my eyes out, the dentist kept asking me Are you ok? Are you ok? Are you sure your ok?, so i'm afraid that i will have another panic attack today. And i'm kind of scared of getting that shot that gums too. How do i keep myself calm when i'm in the waiting room and when i'm sitting in the chair? Please any info would help greatly!

I used to be so afraid of the dentist myself but i realized that if i wanted nasty teeth then i should stay scared, i realized that the dentist isn't so bad afterall.
The only thing ur afraid of is a needle that pinches for like a milisecond..after the first needle if another one is given for more numbing u don't feel the 2nd one because ur numb from the first.
So tell yourself..do i really want to make myself look like a fool over a pinch that isn't even that bad.
u can do it.....be strong.
Try to distract urself while waiting...listen to ur music, mp3, cd player, ipod,etc.
music u know that will motivate u to be strong.
Or read something..u know what u like to do..so try to do it if possible.
Best of luck and remeber...the Dentist is someone that will always play a role in our lives..what's the point in fearing him/her...they're here to help us and keep us healthy.
Might as well fight ur fears of it and get on with life, don't let it control you.
