Wisdom tooth?
My wisdom tooth is growing and it hurts so much is there anyway to lessen the pain? Its hard for me to eat. and does anyone know what is the reason for wisdom tooth? Thank you

If you can get a blunted end disposable syringe and some warm water or even saline you can bend the end of the syringe at an angle and gently irrigate around the crown of the tooth, most likely the gums around it are loose enough that it will fit in there. Irrigate it a few times a day, it will remove any gunk in there and keep it clean, maybe you have enough room to keep your wisdom teeth. Oh and Advil might help too.
The wisdom tooth or 3rd molar was for when you lost your 6 yr molar (1st molar) the 3rd one would give you back the chewing power you had when you had the 1st and 2nd but lost the 1st. Generally people don't lose their 1st molars anymore, we take much better care of ourselves now. The dentist I work for says that anyone that wasn't born with 3rd molars are higher on the evolutionary ladder.
