Question: okay, i just asked a question about cavities and braces and here is another one, can the orthodontist fill your cavities too or do they just work on straightening teeth?

Orthodontists were trained as dentists before they became orthodontists so yes they do know how to fill cavities; however, they never actually do fill cavities themselves so you should see a dentist.

they are dentist. like a special doctor they have to become a dentist first so they obviously know how to and some can

The orthodontist does not do general dentistry. He is very specialized to do what he does. See your regular dentist and get all fixed up and then get ready for braces. Good luck...your teeth will be beautiful! ?
